HALLOWEEN APPLES: A good Halloween party should be geared towards the kids who will be attending the party in droves. Kids like fun games, similar to the 'forbidden' spin the bottle game, so you'll get lots of players. This Halloween party game doesn't require a kiss, but instead gives the players a sweetheart for the duration of the party. Into one metal or plastic tub half-filled with water, place apples. Then you'll need to tie orange pieces of paper to each of the apple stems on which the name of each boy at the party has been placed. Put a similar tub across the room in which the names of the girls are placed. Tie or have the players hold their hands behind them as they try to bite into the apples. The name of the person on the apple each player retrieves will be a future friend for a long time and your sweetheart for the day. You can make the game a lot simpler with just one tub and have the girls dive for the names of the boys at the party or vice versa for the boys to dive into. The apples can be kept as Halloween party favors to make the game more fun. Also make the orange pieces of paper certificates that the players can turn in for goodie bags. If you don't want the romantic connotation implied with this version of the party game, just have half the kids names, both genders, in the tub and have the other half dive for the apples, again both genders. That way you'll just end up with groups of boy-girl, girl-girl or boy-boy players who will team up for the rest of the party games.
