WITCH'S BROOM STICK: Get ready to play plenty of rounds of the Witch's Broom Stick this Halloween. A good hot potato game is always fun and gets the guests laughing, except this Halloween party game involves the witch's broom stick. Don't get caught with the Witch's Broomstick! It's Halloween night, and the nasty witch at the front door left her broomstick behind. Have the children stand in a circle in the party games area and give one a "witch's" broomstick. They will say this chant while passing it around the circle as quickly as possible: "Pass the witch's broom stick all around the room." While the Halloween words are chanted quickly pass the broom. "Anyone is out who lets the broomstick drop, or the one who has it when the chant stops!" If someone drops the broom they are out, also the one holding the broomstick when the party group says "stops" is out too. This continues until there is only one player left. The last person holding the broomstick during the Halloween games will have bad luck until next Halloween. However, you can give the player with bad luck a special goodie bag with candles and some incense or a party favor good luck charm that will negate the effects of the bad luck if they make use of them. You can also reverse the game stating that the last person with the broomstick will have good luck until next Halloween.
