Theme Age Appropriate Halloween Parties With the Proper Decorations. No Scarring the Kids!
Halloween decorations can vary depending on the type of party you intend on throwing. When in doubt about which particular decorations you would like for your party, you can always refer back to the major Halloween theme colors- black and orange. Before searching for or purchasing any decorations, be sure to ask yourself who you’ve invited to the event. For adult guests, decorations for a Halloween party can be pretty intense, involving some amazingly realistic blood and gore!
On the other hand, if your guest lists includes a younger crowd- family and friends with kids- then be sure to decorate accordingly. For a more family oriented party that is fun and still a little bit spooky, buy spider webs and black plastic spiders to suspend from the corners of the walls or outside from the bushes or trees.
For decorations to create together, kids and adults alike can work together to create jack-o-lanterns. Have the kids decide the faces they would like to have carved and draw them onto the surfaces of the pumpkins with a permanent marker. These designs can be simple or very intricate, goofy or very scary, so allow everyone to have a share in planning for the jack-o-lanterns. At night, candles can be placed inside the lanterns, and when placed outside, they are a great way to show holiday spirit or to invite trick-or-treaters to your home.
Another great way to decorate your home for a Halloween party is to have you and your guests become the decorations. Make sure you have each part of the craft and enough supplies for everyone. Guest will want to bring home their creations which can also double as their party favor. Invite your company to wear costumes, and party away!
If you are looking for family Halloween fun, try doing a craft project together. This can be very helpful when decorating for the Halloween holiday. Each person can contribute to the decorations. A great project to do is get pumpkins to represent every person in the household. You can then let each person decorate their own pumpkin. Parents will have to help children with carving; however, they can add paint and other craft items to the pumpkin. Put a candle in it, light it up and look at the household in a different perspective!

In your Halloween party planning this year, begin the haunting by either sending packaged invitations that coordinate with the tableware you're using, or creating them on your computer with themed stationery. You can also make a fun invitation by cutting out a witches hat and using it for the background for all your party info.
