Outside Fall Games: Pin the Ghost on the Pumpkin
Fall festivities can be more fun than any other time of the year with a little activity planning and organized Halloween games for kids. The beauty of fall harvest is the perfect backdrop for the festivities that mark the end of summer in some climates and a prelude to winter in others. Halloween is less stressful than the more culturally important holidays and is the perfect time for everyone to just enjoy. In warmer areas with the luxury of a rural environment fall crops provide much of the entertainment. Some may be lucky enough to have a barn to use for apple bobbing and other traditional activities. But a small apartment in the city can still employ the imagination in role playing and costuming. Charades and pin the tale on the donkey can be tailored to Monster charades and pin the bat on the pumpkin in any sized home. You can create your very own ghost decorations. The best part is- they are fun and easy to make! All you need is balloons filled with helium, a black marker and old bed sheets. You can draw the face of the ghost on the sheet, or, if the sheet is semi-transparent, you can draw the face on the balloon and make it look scarier. Once you have the balloon blown up, place the sheet over the balloon. You may need to tape it at the top so it stays in place. If you want to anchor them, you can use a small pumpkin, Halloween paperweight or attach them to cups full of candy for each guest.
