Halloween Safety
Halloween Safety
Here are some Halloween safety tips:
1. When using power tools and equipment in moist or wet areas use a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt.) They can be purchased at your local hardware store and will kill the power, preventing death, if water shorts out your equipment.
2. Make safe electrical connections; power down any circuits. Place a lock if you can on the breaker box while you work.
3. Know what you are doing when dealing with electricity. The last thing you want is a real nightmare when your garage is on fire!
Find a real electrician or at least educate yourself on the basics. Note in most cities it is illegal to do your own electrical work.
4. Lamp Placement - Give your lighting instruments plenty of breathing room to prevent fires.
5. Rigging - A speaker suspended by fishing line could add to the dead bodies laying around your door. Use proper cabling and supports for heavy objects.
6. Most burning plastics can let off toxic fumes; use the right stage gel to color your lighting.
7. Contrary to popular belief, Helium can damage your vocal cords. Don't go crazy at the Halloween party!
The most popular Halloween decorations are a combination of the colors orange and black along with scary figures. A great Halloween decoration is to build a grave yard. You can create tombstones out of cardboard, Styrofoam or other sturdy materials. You can then make skeleton body parts look like they are coming out of the ground. For indoor decorations you can hang black and orange streamer from the ceiling with balloons and decorate tables with Halloween tablecloths, paper cup, plates, napkins and more. Don’t forget the Halloween centerpiece!
So
much fun, so little time (-; Enjoy your Hallo Eve
with Halloween Printable Games
Printable games are always available for other
celebrations. We do love Halloween but we must not
totally ignore the other stuff going on so do enjoy seasonal celebrations.
In your Halloween party planning this year, begin the haunting by either sending packaged invitations that coordinate with the tableware you're using, or creating them on your computer with themed stationery. You can also make a fun invitation by cutting out a witches hat and using it for the background for all your party info.
